Today, November 18, 2011 is the birthday of Louis Daguerre an artist and physicist, the inventor of daguerreotype process of photography. Daguerreotype process is the first successful photographic process in the world, in which the image was produced on iodine-sensitized silver and developed in mercury vapour. Louis was born in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, Val-d’Oise, France and died on July 10, 1851.
