How to Install AppLocale on Windows 8.1

AppLocale is a utility program that will let you run specific program in different language unicode. Since Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 doesn’t include this utility app on the OS, I downloaded the program from Microsoft Website (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13209).

After trying to install the program in Windows 8.1. I got this error message “There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.”

applocale-error

To fixed this error:

1. Right click the “apploc.msi” then click Properties, then go to “Compatibility” then check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then select “Previous version of Windows”.

2. Back and Open the “apploc.msi” and now you can now install the program without the “Error”.

Tech Tip: Did you know now you can access all your windows applications remotely from anywhere, anytime on your preferred device(PC/Mac/android/iOS) using trending virtual PC`s from www.CloudDesktopOnline.com.
