Pay IT Forward by Smart Communications

What is Pay IT Forward? It is a new program of Smart Communications that looks for an individuals or groups that are doing extraordinary deeds to their community using technology, through education, environment, disaster preparedness, health, livelihood or even in sports. The program is open to anyone except for Foundations, Corporations with CSR programs or NGO.

To Join the program:

1. You need a 3 minute video clips that shows your mission and goals, impact of your projects to the community, your stakeholders, future plans and tell how the technology will allow you to do more about your advocacy.

2. Register your entries and upload your video at http://www.smart.com.ph/payitforward.

3. Promote your video by posting it to your Social media to gain popularity and votes.

Smart will be selecting the best 20 entries in a 2 round selection process from May 21, 2013 to July 31, 2013 and August 16, 2013 to October 31 2013. Entries are judge based on impact of the project to the community, the novelty and the proposed technology to use. The entries will be judge also through online.

The selected Social Goods advocates will received 5 tablets, 1 Smart Bro Pocket WiFi, Smart Bro Load worth PHP 3,000 and a cash prize of PHP 50,000.

Check the example video below by a 30 year old Rey Bufi, who walks miles away and crossed different rivers just to reach the remote communities to teach kids by his advocacy project “The Storytelling Project”.
