Today October 12, 2011 is the birthday of Art Clokey, The pioneering man behind the stop motion animation from year 1955 in the film called Gumbasia. Art Clokey was influenced by his professor Slavko Vorkapich at the University of Southern California. On the Gumbasia Project her wife and Art created the first stop animation character called Gumby.
